It’s that time again. Below we have identified some exciting things to do in South Florida this weekend. As always, if you are aware of something fantastic that we missed, please add it in the comments so we can all benefit! Also, visit the linked sites to confirm date, time, location and details. Sometimes things change.

Our Halloween blog details many of the events taking place this month. We encourage you to visit it and plan in advance. We will incorporate events that fall on weekends in these posts as well; but the blog gives you the chance to plan ahead! If you are aware of an event we haven’t mentioned, please let us know so we can share it!

Friday, October 26th, 2018

ArtsPark Funtastic Friday and Movie Night 5:00pm – 10:00pm: Bring the whole family, and some friends, to ArtsPark for music, face painting, bounce houses and games. The movie “Coco” will be shown at 8:00pm. Information available here.

Trick or Treat with the Animals, 5:00-7:00: Visit the Humane Society of Broward County for this fun evening. Activities are carnival style and tickets can be purchased on site. There will be photo booths, puppy play time, and food and drinks. Visit their website for details. After you spend the evening with some of these fabulous animals, consider taking your pup to one of Broward’s fantastic dog parks over the weekend.

Trick-or-Treat Through the Trees, 6:00pm – 9:00pm: Visit for Halloween games, activities and crafts; then trick-or-treat through the forest. This event is being held at the Long Key Natural Area and Nature Center in Davie and is appropriate for ages 3-10. Admission is $5 per child. Trunk or Treat, 5:00pm – 8:00pm: Visit Pine Trails Park in Parkland for some Trunk or Treating, pumpkin picking and music! Details available here

10th Annual Night Against Crime & Halloween Safety Day, 5:00pm – 9:00pm: Come by the Herbert Sadkin Community Center for this family event. There will be events for kids and adults including a kids hayride, haunted house, free child ID cards and more. Visit their website for details.

Friday Night Sound Waves, 6:00 pm – 9:00pm: The intersection of Las Olas Blvd and A1A is the place to be for weekly Friday night concerts. This week come see the Shane Duncan Band. Visit their website for details on this concert and future ones as well.

Halloween Haunted Trails and Kids Fun Zone, 7:00pm – 11:00pm: Visit Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park in North Miam for this evening of Halloween fun! There is a $5.00 entry fee. Activities include a haunted hay ride, costume parades, haunted trails and more. Check out their flyer for more details

Bokampers Halloween Bash, 8:00pm: Visit this sports bar and restaurant for their 5th annual adult Halloween celebration. Hosted by Iheartmedia, it’s bound to be fun. Don’t forget your costume; there is a contest! Visit their Facebook page for details.

Fall Festival at Bedners Farm Fresh Market, 9:00am – 6:00pm: It may be worth the ride up to Boynton Beach for this amazing festival. In addition to your “typical” fall events, like a corn maze and pumpkin patch, there are great veggies and fruits for sale and even an animal encounter (with a kangaroo)! Flamingo Gardens Harvest Festival, 9:30am – 4:00pm: It’s Halloween Weekend at Flamingo Gardens. Enjoy the park crafts, costumes, treats and more! Come by celebrate and take advantage of everything this fabulous park has to offer. This event continues on Sunday. Click here for more information.

Tradewinds Park Fall Festival, 10:00am – 4:00pm: Visit the stables and celebrate fall! There will be steam trade rides, hay rides, food trucks and more. Click here for additional details including cost.

Farmer’s Market at the Shops at Pembroke Gardens (in Pembroke Pines), 10:30am – 7:00pm: Come by for a day of yummy shopping! This is the perfect place to grab your fresh fruits and veggies and a whole lot more. Check out their flyer.

6th Annual Craftober Fest, 11:00am – 12:00am: Kids and pets are welcome at this festival on Riverwalk. There will be craft beer, German Food, music and more. Visit their website for information.

The Shops at Pembroke Gardens Trick or Treat, Noon – 4:00pm: Join us for mall-wide trick-or-treating, character selfies, kids crafts and a pumpkin patch. Click here for more details.

Pet Costume Contest, 1:00pm: Also at The Shops at Pembroke Gardens, this event allows you to celebrate with your pet. Visit their website for contest details.

Seussical The Musical, 2:00pm: The Susan Katz Theater in Pembroke Pines is showing this fabulous family musical. Additional shows are available throughout the weekend. Boo! By the Sea, Halloween Stroll 2018, 2:00pm – 5:00pm: This event, appropriate for kids 3-11 has activities and games geared toward Halloween. It is held in the West Commercial Business District Plazas. Details are available here.

MSD’s Not So Scary Halloween, 5:00pm – 8:00pm: The Stoneman Douglas Drama Club is hosting this child friendly Halloween event at the school. Admission is $6 or $5 with two canned goods. Come by for a maze, not so scary haunted house and more. Click here for details.

Margate Fall Festival, 6:00pm – 11:00pm: Held at the Margate Sports Complex, this festival includes a concert, line dancing, pony rides, and so much more. Visit their website for a peek at all of the fun activities.

Hollyweird Halloween: 6:00pm – 2:00am: This event, in downtown Hollywood, is perfect for kids and adults. Children’s activities take place between 6:00 and 9:00pm with balloons, faceprinting and music. There is a costume contest at 8:00. From 9:00pm -2:00am the adult fun starts. Miami Heat V. Portland Trailblazers, 8:00pm: Grab your tickets now for this exciting basketball game at the American Airlines Arena. And, how’s this for a deal, Brightline is offering $10 one way tickets to the game. Click here for details.

Tamarac Farmers Market, 9:00am – 2:00pm: Veterans’ Memorial Park is the site of this fabulous farmers market which occurs every Sunday in the fall. Stop by and pick up some delicious treats! Click here for the City’s calendar.

K9 October Fest, 10:00am – 4:00pm: TY Park is the site for the family fun day. There will be a bbq, dog games and even a dog costume contest! Check out their Facebook page for details.

Be Kind to Animals, 11:00am: Visit the Sawgrass Nature and Wildlife Hospital for this weekly program where guests are introduced to a new animal ambassador. Click here for more information.

Spooktacular, 5:00pm and 7:00pm: Church by the Glades is hosting this family holiday event. (which takes place on Saturday as well). Admission is one large bag of candy each day. Visit their website for details.

Live Music, Gulf Stream Park, 7:00pm – 9:00pm: This outdoor shopping area presents live music several nights a week. Check out their website for who is playing! This is a great way to wind down the weekend.
