Feeding South Florida’s Outrun Hunger 5K, 6:30am: Charnow Park in Hollywood is the site of this 9th annual run sponsored by JM Family Enterprises. It’s a great way to support those less fortunate in our community while sneaking in some exercise. Click here for more information.

MSD Heros Challenge, 7:30am: This obstacle course race, held in Parkland, is appropriate for athletes of all ages and skill levels, and you enter as a team! There is even a free yoga class following the event. Proceeds will support the efforts of Stand With Parkland, The National Association of Families for Safe Schools and other nonprofits working to help make our communities safer. 31st Anniversary of Butterfly World, 9:00am – 5:00pm: Celebrate Butterfly World’s anniversary today and tomorrow (Sunday) and next weekend. 2019 Florida Renaissance Festival, 10:00am – Sunset: Mark your calendars (and buy your tickets) for the Florida Renaissance Festival at Quiet Waters Park. 10th Annual ANF Group Tour de Broward to Benefit Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital, 7:00am – 1:00pm: Help raise funds for Joe Dimaggio’s Children’s Hospital in this variety race. You can cycle, run or walk to participate. Registration fee includes breakfast and lunch and a goodie bag! It takes place in Miramar Park and promises to be both fun and rewarding. Tamarac Farmers Market, 9:00am – 2:00pm: Veterans’ Memorial Park is the site of this fabulous farmers market which occurs every Sunday in the fall. Stop by and pick up some delicious treats! Click here for information.
