We will incorporate events that fall on weekends in these posts as well; but the blog gives you the chance to plan ahead! Coral Springs Crafts Guild Crafts Show and Holiday Boutique, 4:00pm – 9:00pm: This show, which continues tomorrow (hours vary), provides a great place to begin your holiday shopping. Held at the La Quinta in Coral Springs, admission is $3.00 per person or a canned good on Friday and is free on Saturday. Click here for additional information.
ArtsPark Funtastic Friday and Movie Night 5:00pm – 10:00pm: Bring the whole family, and some friends, to ArtsPark for music, face painting, bounce houses and games. The movie “Inside Out” will be shown at 8:00pm. Information available here.
First Friday Food Trucks, 5:00pm – 9:00m: Visit the parking lot at Flamingo Gardens for the fabulous way to kick off your weekend. Bring the family and let everyone choose their own dinner from the delicious food trucks and eat while enjoying some great music. Click here for details.
Old Town Untapped, 6:00pm – 9:00pm: Head out to Pompano Beach for this monthly recurring evening event. Bailey Contemporary Arts is the place to be for this craft beer and arts festival. There is food, music, art and more. Visit their website for more information.
Friday Night Sound Waves, 6:00pm – 9:00pm: The intersection of Las Olas Blvd and A1A is the place to be for weekly Friday night concerts. This week come see the All Star Soul Band. Visit their website for details on this concert and future ones as well.
Tunes ‘N Trucks, 6:00pm: Come by the Sunrise Civic Center Amphitheater for this monthly concert and food truck event. This month listen to Turnstiles, a Billy Joel Tribute Band. Bring your chairs, grab dinner and listen to some great music! Admission is free. Click here for more info!
Disney Junior Dance Party on Tour, 6:00pm: This fun, family show is sure to bring a smile to everyone. Held at the Broward Center, the event promises music, dancing and more. Details are available here.

Fall Festival at Bedners Farm Fresh Market, 9:00am – 6:00pm: It may be worth the ride up to Boynton Beach for this amazing festival. In addition to your “typical” fall events, like a corn maze and pumpkin patch, there are great veggies and fruits for sale and even an animal encounter (with a kangaroo)! Flamingo Gardens Harvest Festival, 9:30am – 4:00pm: Its the 9th Annual Great Scarecrow Weekend at Flamingo Gardens. Enjoy the park and the special scarecrow festivities, including a scarecrow contest! Click here for the rules to enter. Come by and enjoy the entries and everything this fabulous park has to offer. This event continues on Sunday.
Oktoberfest, 1:00pm – 11:00pm Jaco Pastorus Park is the site of this three day festival (it begins on Friday and continues on Sunday). Be advised, times change for all three days). There will be food, drinks and activities for the entire family. Admission is $5.00 per person, children under 12 are admitted free. Visit their website for more details.
Wags n Tales, 2:00pm – 3:00pm: Bring your children to the African American Research Library in Broward and have the opportunity to read with Augy, a Humane Society Therapy Dog! Read aloud to Augy and take out a book! Details are available on their website.
Oktoberfest, 3:00pm – 7:00pm: Gulfstream Park is the site for this afternoon festival. Walk the ring and enjoy live music, delicious food and giveaways. Click here for more information.
Moonlight Movies in the Park, 8:00pm: Come to Regional Park in Weston and see Jumanji, starring The Rock! Bring chairs or a blanket and a cooler with food and drinks (no alcoholic beverages). Looking for more info, click here.

Parkland Dash, 7:00am: Held at Pine Trails Park in Parkland, this annual race offers something for everyone. Registration is open now. Click here for more details.
22nd Annual Dunn’s Run, 7:30am: Deerfield Beach is the site for this annual 5 mile, 5K and Walk benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Broward County. This race has an event for everyone; all kids ages 2-6 who participate in the fun run will receive a medal. Visit their website for registration information and details.
Tamarac Farmers Market, 9:00am – 2:00pm: Veterans’ Memorial Park is the site of this fabulous farmers market which occurs every Sunday in the fall. Stop by and pick up some delicious treats! Click here for the City’s calendar.
Dream Classic Car Show, 10:00am – 3:00pm: This event, which recurs the first Sunday of each month, is a local favorite. Located on Hollywood Boulevard between 19th and 20th Avenues, stop by and see some amazing classic cars. Visit their website for more details.
Madagascar, A Musical Adventure, 11:00am Visit the Broward Center for this fun, family musical. You can see all your favorite characters including Alex the Lion and the Penguins. Be Kind to Animals, 11:00am: Visit the Sawgrass Nature and Wildlife Hospital for this weekly program where guests are introduced to a new animal ambassador. Click here for more information.
Live Music, Gulf Stream Park, 7:00pm – 9:00pm: This outdoor shopping area presents live music several nights a week. Check out their website for who is playing! This is a great way to wind down the weekend.

Cardboard Boat Race, October 13th: The City of Hollywood Marina is the site for this design and sail a boat race. Boats can be built on or off site, and then the race takes place. This is a perfect way for a family to spend the day. Details here.
Bow-Wow Ween, October 13th: Sponsored by the City of Pembroke Pines, this is your chance to celebrate Halloween with your dog. Click here for more information.

Halloween Hoopla October 19th: Visit Tamarac park for a fun Halloween celebration. There will be bounce houses, games and BSO demonstrations. Look at the city’s website for details.
Family Halloween and Safety Festival, October 20th: Sponsored by the City of Plantation, this event will be held at Volunteer Park. For $5 per person (ages 2 and up) you can spend the day at a children’s carnival complete with pony rides, face painting hay rides, costume contests and more. Fall Harvest Festival, October 21st: Stop by the Athletic Complex in Sunrise for this fun, holiday festival. Pick a pumpkin, take a horse drawn hayride, play games and eat some delicious treats! Take a look at their web page to see the flyer and get more information.
