Friday, July 6th, 2018

Salute to Heroes Week, Miami Seaquarium,10:00am – 6:00pm:  Because of the poor weather on Memorial Day Weekend, the  Seaquarium has rescheduled its Salute to Heroes.  If you are a member of the military, a first responder or a power and utility worker you will receive free admission to the park.  Your family members (up to four) will receive a half price admission ticket.  Please bring your ID.  Details are available here.  This continues through Sunday

Safari Night Dinosaurs, Palm Beach Zoo, 4:30pm – 9:00pm:  It may be worth the ride to the Palm Beach Zoo to participate in this evening activity, especially if your child loves Dinosaurs! Explore the zoo after hours (when it’s a bit cooler). Dress in the theme of the evening and participate in animal encounters and crafts.  There will even be face painting and music.  More details are available on their website.

ArtsPark Funtastic Friday and Movie Night, 5:00 – 10:00pm:  Bring the whole family, and some friends, to ArtsPark for music, face painting, bounce houses and games.  And, at 8:00pm you can settle down and watch the movie “The Rookie”.  Bring blankets and chairs for seating.  Information available here.

First Friday Food Trucks, 5:00pm – 9:00pm:  Visit the parking lot of Flamingo Gardens for this food truck extravaganza.  Bring your chairs, grab some dinner from one of the fantastic food trucks and enjoy some music.  What a great way to kick off the weekend.  Details are available here.

Splash in Space, 6:00pm – 10:00pm:  Come by Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield Beach for a fun family evening of water, movies and games.  It’s only $6.00 per person, but you need to register and pay in advance.  Information is available here.

Hometown Throwdown, 7:15pm:  Visit the Hardrock Live at the Event Center in Hollywood for this exciting fight.  The main event will feature heavyweights Harold Calderon v. John David Martinez.  Click here for more details.

Saturday, July 7th, 2018

Venice of America Tour and Paddleboard Lesson, 10:00am:  Learn to paddleboard and travel from Barrier Island to Las Olas.  You’ll have great view of the beautiful homes.  Visit their website for details.

Free Family Movie, 10:00am:  Visit River of Grass Arts Park this Saturday to see Coco in the Susan B. Katz Theater.  Movies are shown every Saturday in the summer.  Check out the lineup here.

Watch the Cup, FIFA World Cup Event Series, 10:00am – 11:30pm:  Head over to Wynwood Marketplace for this all day/multi-day soccer festival.  There will be music, games, drinks and LOTS of televised World Cup Soccer.  Visit their website for details including entrance requirements.  This event continues on Saturday and Sunday, times may vary.

Family Fun Day at the Promenade in Coconut Creek, Noon – 4:00pm:  Bring the whole family to this outdoor mall on Saturday for an afternoon of fun and games.  See the Florida Panthers, Hip Hop Kidz and lots of food and games.  Details are available here.  This event will take place rain or shine!

Parkchella, 5:30pm 9:30pm:  This evening festival, in Parkland at the Ampitheatre at Pine Trails Park offers something for everyone.  There will be music, crafts, games and more.  Click here for more information.

Urban Comedy All Stars, 8:00pm – 10:00pm:  This comedy show will be held at the Charles F. Dodge City Center in Pembroke Pines.  It’s the perfect adult night out for an evening of laughs.  Details are available on their website.

Sunday, July 8th, 2018

Groove + Green Music and Brunch Marketplace, 9:00am – 1:00pm:  Visit the intersection of 441 and Margate Blvd. for this family friendly green market.  There will be lots of food, vendors and music.  Details are available on the city’s website.

US Navy Band in Concert, 2:00pm: Visit Bailey Hall at Broward College for this amazing concert.  Click here for information on how to get free tickets and here to learn more about the performance!

Dan and Phil 2018 World Tour Interactive Introverts, 7:000pm:  End the holiday weekend with this hilarious show at the Broward Center.  It’s the perfect way to spend a Sunday night and promises lots of laughs.  Details are available here.

Florida Supercon, July 12th – 15th:  All anime, comic book, video game and animation fans, save the date for this four day event at the Broward Convention Center. Visit their website for details.

Overtown Music and Arts Festival, July 14th:  Save the date for this day long exciting event.  Taking place in the Overtown Business District in Miami, you can spend the day listening to music, trying delicious ethnic food, browsing the arts & crafts booths and watching your kids enjoy the funzone!  Details available here.

KC and the Sunshine Band, July 20th:  Nothing says summer music like this group. They will be at the Hard Rock Event Center. Details are available here.

Bugfest by the Sea, July 24th – 29th:  It’s lobster mini season. Participate in this Fort Lauderdale event where you can catch up to 12 lobsters per day.  More information is available on their website.

Paw Patrol Live, July 28th – 29th:  Do your kids LOVE Paw Patrol?  If so, order your tickets now for the live show at the Broward Center.  Information is available here.
