Young At Art Teen Comicon, 10:00am – 6:00pm: Visit Young At Art for the 12th anniversary of this always fun event. Admission is $14.00; but if you come dressed as your favorite character you can save $4.00. Details are available on their Facebook page.
Miami Children’s Museum Free Third Thursday, 4:00pm – 8:00pm: On the third Thursday of each month, guests are admitted free to the museum after 4:00pm. Make sure you take advantage of this awesome opportunity. Details are available here.
ArtsPark Funtastic Friday and Movie Night, 5:00pm – 10:00pm: Bring the whole family, and some friends, to ArtsPark for music, face painting, bounce houses and games. And, at 8:00pm you can settle down and watch the movie “The Sandlot”. Bring blankets and chairs for seating. Information available here.
Friday Night Sound Waves, 6:00pm – 9:00pm: Enjoy this free concert at the intersection of Las Olas Boulevard and A1A. This event, which recurs every Friday evening, features a different performer each time. Click here for more details.
Splash in Space, 6:00pm – 10:00pm: Visit Quiet Waters Park for this special event that recurs twice a month over the summer. Enjoy the water park, games and movies. Preregistration is required. Admission is $6.00 ages one and up. Details available here.
Jaws Beach Bash, 6:00pm: Gates open at 6:00pm and the movie begins at 8:30pm. Visit Dania Beach for this showing of Jaws! This is a great evening event for adults. Check out their website.
KC and the Sunshine Band, 8:00pm Nothing says summer music like this group. They will be at the Hard Rock Event Center. Details are available here.
Starlight Musicals, 7:00pm -10:00pm: These free concerts, which take place on Friday evenings through August 10th at Holiday Park (east Sunrise Blvd and Federal Highway) are a great way to bring in the weekend. Dig The Beach Volleyball Series, 7:00am: Visit Fort Lauderdale Beach and watch some competitive beach volleyball! With games all day today and continuing tomorrow (Sunday) this is a great way to spend the day. Information is available here.
Splish Splash at the Dania Beach Patch, 9:00am – 1:00pm: Stop by the Patch Garden Urban Farm & Market for a fun family day. There will be a waterslide, kiddie pool, games and more. Details available on their Facebook page.
Tea With Barbie, 2:00pm – 4:00pm: Visit the Old Davie School Museum to help celebrate its 100th birthday. Barbie will be there for tea and treats! Admission is $20 per person over age three. Details available here.
The Fun Show with Kat and Nat, 7:00pm: If you’re a mom on social media, you are probably familiar with this hysterical duo. They will be sharing their story on Saturday evening at the Parker Playhouse. Click here for ticket information.

Model Train Rides, 10:00am – 4:00pm: Visit Quiet Waters Park for this monthly opportunity to ride the model train! Admission to the park is $1.50 per person and each rider must purchase a ticket for an additional $1.50. Take a ride and enjoy the park! Information available here. Cirque de Soleil Crystal, 1:30 and 5:00pm: The BB&T Center in Sunrise is the site of this fantastic show featuring both acrobatics and ice skating. There are additional shows all weekend. Check for tickets here.
West Side Story, 2:00pm : Showing at the Susan Katz Theater in Pembroke Pines, this fan favorite is sure to be a hit. Additional performances all weekend long (Friday and Saturday). Click here for ticket information for all three days.
Live Music, Gulf Stream Park, 7:00pm – 9:00pm: This outdoor shopping area presents live music several nights a week. Check out their website for who is playing! Today, it’s Travis Bridges. This is a great way to wind down the weekend.

Bugfest by the Sea, July 24th – 29th: It’s lobster mini season. Participate in this Fort Lauderdale event where you can catch up to 12 lobsters per day. More information is available on their website.
