Friday, March 30th 2018

Fort Lauderdale International Auto Show, 2:00pm:  This three day event (it continues throughout the weekend; check the website  for times and admission fees), chaired by Rick Case, showcases hundreds of cars, motorcycles, SUVs and trucks.  It is held at the Convention Center and promises to be fun for car enthusiasts in South Florida.

Glass Blowing Demonstration, 4:00-10:00:  Visit Hollywood Hot Glass and watch beautiful art being made.  Lessons and workshops are available as well.  Visit their website for more information.

A Dog’s Purpose,  8:00pm Visit ArtsPark in Hollywood for a free screening of this PG rated film.  The movie will be shown outdoors, so don’t forget to bring a blanket or chair!  Movies are shown every Friday evening.  Click here for details.

Saturday, March 31st, 2018

Ride for Meadow, 10:00am:  This motorcycle ride, in memory of Meadow Pollack  (who lost her life at Stoneman Douglas on February 14th), will begin at the Palm Beach Harley Davidson and end at the her father’s home in Coral Springs.  Details are available here.

The Florida Derby, 11:00am:  Gulfstream Park Calls it “the biggest race day of the year”.  If your a fan of horse racing, or even if you’re not, this is a great day to visit.  Many of the world’s top horses and jockeys will be present.  Visit their website for information.

Teen and Adults Art Class, 2:00 – 4:00pm:  The Frank Art Gallery in Pembroke Pines is offering this art class for ages 13 and up.  Click here for details.  Please note, there is a fee to attend.

FAT Village Art Walk, 6:00pm -10:00pm:  Visit the Flagler Arts Technology (FAT) District for this fun-filled art evening.  Occurring on the last Saturday of each month, there will be art vendors, entertainment and, of course, food.  Visit their website for additional information.

Spring Art Walk, MASS District, 6:00pm – 10:00pm:  Visit Fort Lauderdale and enjoy an evening of art, food and vendors, there will be food trucks!  Details on this event are available here.

Sunday, April 1st

International Orchid and Bromeliad Show,  9:30am – 4:30pm:  Hosted by Flamingo Gardens, the 37th annual show will include over 30 vendors, food and music.  The Easter Bunny will also make a visit, and kids can craft.  Visit their website for more information.  This event is occurring on Saturday as well.

Disney on Ice, 1:00pm and 5:00pm:  Come see your favorite Disney characters skate in an entertaining show.  The BB&T Center is hosting these family friendly performances.  Visit their website for show times and ticket information.  Please note, there are performances on Friday and Saturday as well!

Mark Your Calendars (Future Events)

Family Fun and Camp Fair at the Ranch, April 7th:  Hosted by Marando Farms & Ranch, this family fun day includes plenty of children’s activities and the opportunity to learn about a number of local camps.  Visit their Facebook page for additional information.

Tortuga Music Festival, April 6-8th:  This annual event on Fort Lauderdale Beach is a three day multi-state music festival.  There is also an area where you can learn about conservation.  Visit their website for ticket information.

Stars on Ice, April 8th: The BB&T center is the host of this ice show featuring many your favorites from the Olympics.  Click here for additional details and ticket information.

Delray Affair, April 13-15th:  One of South Florida’s largest arts & crafts festivals, the event includes entertainment, food, arcade games and over 800 vendors.  Visit their website for information.
