Shakespeare in the Park, 8:00pm: Visit ArtsPark in Hollywood for a FREE performance of Hamlet. If you can’t make it tonight, it’s being performed again tomorrow. More details on this exciting event is available on their website.
Dancing in the Street, 6-10:00pm: Oakland Park is hosting this family evening with live music, dancing and food! Stop by and check it out. The event takes place on Main Street from Oakland Park Boulevard to NE 38th Street. Click here for more information.

Riverwalk Chili Cook Off, 12:00 noon to 4:00pm: Esplanade Park is the location for this year’s Chili Cook-Off. With live entertainment, vendors and (of course) lots of chili, this event is fun for the whole family. You can even bring your pet on a leash (but only if it can behave)! There is no fee to attend, but for $5 you can even taste! Visit Riverwalk for more information.
Deerfield Festival of the Arts, 10:00am-5:00pm: Stop by Deerfield Beach in the parking lot south of International Pier to view the works of various artists. The festival includes a student art exhibit as well as food vendors. Visit their website for information on parking and for additional information. This two day event will continue on Sunday!
Doggie Palooza, 10:00am – 3:00pm: For a two dollar donation (which will go to an animal rescue) you can participate in this fun event with your pet. Stop by and enter or watch some of the fun contests planned for the day. Located in plantation at the dog park (6600 SW 16th Street, Plantation). Tri Rail Fun Day, 11:00am – 3:00pm: Participate in the 10th annual fun day! Activities include train rides, arts and crafts, and carnival activities, among others. Check out their flyer for more information.

Miami/Coral Gables Festival of the Arts 10:00am – 6:00pm: This busy art fair is a fabulous way to spend the day. With art exhibits, food vendors and kids activities, you and your family can spend the day outside, together. And, it is operating on Saturday, 1/27 as well. It’s a weekend full of fun! Hollywood Healing Haiti Concert, 1:00pm – 5:00pm: Support Haiti by attending this concert at ArtsPark at Young Circle in Hollywood. There will be bands, food raffles and activities for children. Event details are available here.
