The College Academy, located in Davie, is a joint venture between the Broward County School Board and Broward College. The program is designed for mature high school students ready for academics at a higher level.
Schedules
Students eligible for enrollment must be a resident of Broward County, apply as a sophomore with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25, have qualifying scores on the PERT, ACT or SAT and have taken specific high school classes. In short, it is a full time dual enrollment program.
After School Activities
As students are essentially ” in college”, they are able to participate in all activities at Broward College. A listing is available on their website. Obviously, there area broad range of opportunities.
