Friday, September 28th, 2018

ArtsPark Funtastic Friday and Movie Night  5:00pm – 10:00pm:  Bring the whole family, and some friends, to ArtsPark for music, face painting, bounce houses and games. The movie “Ghostbusters” will be shown at 8:00pm.  Information available here.

Friday Night Sound Waves, 6:00pm – 9:00pm: The intersection of Las Olas Blvd and A1A is the place to be for weekly Friday night concerts.  This week come see SOSOS.  Visit their website for details on this concert and future ones as well.

Wynwood’s Oktoberfest: 7:00pm – 2:00am:  This event, which continues all weekend, is truly a festival. There will be beer, live music, amazing food and even some dog friendly activities.  Click here for more information on what to expect!

Rumble at the Rock, 7:15pm: Visit the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood for this night at the fights.  The main event will feature Logan Roon v. John Renteria.  Click here for info on tickets.

Autism Speaks Walk, 8:00am – Noon:  The Broward Walk takes places at the BB&T Center in Sunrise.  Click here to get information regarding participation.  This is a great opportunity to join the community to raise both money and awareness.

Seven Dollar Saturdays at Flamingo Gardens, 9:30am – 4:00pm: September is special at Flamingo Gardens.  Admission is $7.00 for adults and children ages 3 and up.  Take advantage of this amazing deal.  Click here for more information.

Rock the Dock, 3:00pm – 10:00pm:  Live music is the draw (in addition to great food and drinks) at Shooters Waterfront today.  Admission is free and two bands will be playing, Pee WWee Lewis & the Hues and The Pixels.  Come by for some great music and food and drink specials.  Click here for details.

Town of Davie Fall Harvest Festival, 4:00pm – 8:00pm:  Visit the Bergeron Rodeo grounds for this family event. There will be a petting farm, hay rides and more!  Details available on their website.

Pork, Pints and Pallettes Festival, 6:00pm – 11:00pm:  The City of Lauderhill is hosting this fabulous and fun evening event.  Come by and enjoy BBQ, Beer and Art.  There will be music and comedians, great food, craft beer and you can even help paint some giant panels.  Visit their website for more details; this is not to be missed!

Tampa Bay Lightening V. Florida Panthers, 7:00pm:  It’s that time again, hockey season.  Head on over to the BB&T Center tonight and take in this exciting game.  Click here for tickets.

Peace, Love & Elephants, 8:00am -10:00am:  Zoo Miami is hosting this unique event.  It includes an hour yoga class with the elephants, a zoo keeper interaction and lots more.  Click here for details.

Tamarac Farmers Market, 9:00am – 2:00pm:  Veterans’ Memorial Park is the site of this fabulous farmers market which occurs every Sunday in the fall. Stop by and pick up some delicious treats!  Click here for the City’s calendar.

Be Kind to Animals, 11:00am: Visit the Sawgrass Nature and Wildlife Hospital for this weekly program where guests are introduced to a new animal ambassador.  Click here for more information.

Live Music, Gulf Stream Park, 7:00pm – 9:00pm:  This outdoor shopping area presents live music several nights a week.  Check out their website for who is playing! This is a great way to wind down the weekend.

Oktoberfest, October 5th – 7th: Jaco Pastorus Park is the site of this three day festival.  There will be food, drinks and activities for the entire family.  Admission is $5.00 per person, children under 12 are admitted free.  Visit their website for more details.

Harvest Festival at Flamingo Gardens, October 6th and 7th:  Save the date NOW for this fun, family event at Flamingo Gardens.  There will be a hayride, pumpkin patch and more.  Details are available on their website.

Madagascar, A Musical Adventure, October 6th -8th:  Visit the Broward Center for this fun, family musical.  You can see all your favorite characters including Alex the Lion and the Penguins.  Click herefor more information.

Cardboard Boat Race, October 13th: The City of Hollywood Marina is the site for this design and sail a boat race.  Boats can be built on or off site, and then the race takes place.  This is a perfect way for a family to spend the day. Details here.
