Deerfield Beach Pioneer Days, 5:00pm – 10:00pm:  Participate in this three day festival (activities continue on Saturday and Sunday) as Deerfield celebrates its history.  There will be food, crafts, live entertainment and even a carnival.  Come back on Saturday for the parade and fireworks.  For additional details, click here.

MMA Titan Fighting Championships: Titan FC 48, 7:00pm:  Xtreme Action Park’s “Arena” is hosting an exciting night of MMA Fights.  For details on admission and who will be there visit their website.

Movies Under the Stars, “Wonder Woman”, 6:00-8:00pm:  Bring your family and watch the acclaimed movie “Wonder Woman”!  Sponsored by the Village Design Art Gallery, admission is free but you will need to bring lawn chairs or blankets.  Snacks will be available for purchase.  Click here for more information.

Sunset Kayak Tour, One hour before sunset: Enjoy something new, a sunset kayak tour.  Your journey begins inside the BG Whiskey Creek Hideout in Dania Beach.  Learn the area’s local history and all about the native wildlife.  Details on what to expect and costs are available on their website.

Classic Car Show, 10:00am  to 4:00pm:    Visit the Nob Hill Soccer Club Park and enjoy the City of Sunrise’s first classic car show.  There will be food trucks, music and lots of classic cars.  Admission is free to the general public, although there is a fee to display your car.  Details are available here.

Camp Connections @ Flamingo Gardens, 10:00am- 3:00pm This program is being hosted by Broward Family Life Magazine and Flamingo Gardens.  Admission is free ONLY with advanced reservations.  Visit and learn about both local and out of state camps from their representatives.  There will be additional activities as well.  Details are available here.

Sun Trolley Guided Tour , 10:00am – Noon:  Hop aboard and learn all you can about Fort Lauderdale.  This fun way to learn both this history and the culture of the town is available the third Saturday of every month.  Visit Sun Trolley’s website for details.

Coconut Grove Arts Festival, 10:00 – 6:00: This is the 55th anniversary of one of South Florida’s premier events.  Bring your family for fabulous art, food and fun.  The festival is open on Sunday and Monday (until 5:00) as well.  Details including admission prices, location, transportation and parking, as well as exhibiting artists are available on their website.

Publix Fort Lauderdale A1A Marathon, 6:00am: This event, which includes several races, is a great one in which to participate.  Where is it more beautiful that Fort Lauderdale?  Details involving registration, fees and additional activities, including a kids fun run,  can be found on their website.

Food and Wine Festival 2018:  2:00pm – 6:00pm:  Visit Weston Town Center for a relaxing afternoon of wine and food tasting, live music, vendors and a kids corner.  Information on this event, including ticketing,  can be found here.

Puddles Pity Party, 7:30pm:  Remember this singing clown?  He’s performing in Fort Lauderdale at the Parker Playhouse.  Order tickets and watch him sing familiar songs.  He has a fabulous voice.  For ticket information, click here.

Monday, February 19th: Presidents Day

Miami Yacht Show and Miami International Boat Show: Both of these annual shows are well known in the area and are open February 15-February 19th.  Visit their websites (Boat Show and Yacht Show) for information on hours and fees.

IKEA Design Nation and FAU Self-Driven Team Noon – 4:00pm: Compete with other families on a variety of challenges including building a table to hold the most weight or constructing a roller coaster that passengers will not eject its passengers.  This event runs the on Friday and Saturday as well.  Click here for more information.

Mark Your Calendars (Future Events)

Feeding South Florida 8th Annual Outrun Hunger 5K: Presented by JM Family Enterprises, this event takes place at the Hollywood Broadwalk.  Come out and participate and fight against hunger.  Details are availablehere.

Broward County Waterway Cleanup: Help maintain our beautiful county and participate in the clean up.  In addition to helping remove 20 tons of trash, you’ll have fun, this event includes the Trash Bash with drinks, food, raffle prizes and music.  Details can be found here.
