Friday Night Sound Waves, 6:00pm:  This weekly show (March 16-November 2) features a different musical group each Friday.  Stop by this week and listen to the Goodnicks, a pop/rock/country band.  The event is free and fun for the entire family.  Visit their website for additional information.

Riverwalk Burger Battle IX, 7:00pm:  Stop by Huizenga Plaza as local restaurants compete to see who makes the best burger!  There will even be a burger eating contest.  This event requires tickets. Information on prices and additional activities is available here.

Little Big League,  8:00pm Visit ArtsPark in Hollywood for a free screening of this PG rated film.  The movie will be shown outdoors, so don’t forget to bring a blanket or chair!  Movies are shown every Friday evening.  Click here for details.

Saturday, March 24th, 2018

Walk MS,  8:30am:  Held in Fort Lauderdale at George English Park, this walk aims to raise funds to eradicate multiple sclerosis.  Visit their website for additional information and to learn how to participate.

Race for Women’s Wellness Half Marathon and 5k, 6:00am, :  This race, which benefits the Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Fund is held in Coral Springs.  Proceed benefits woman who would otherwise be unable to afford screening mammograms, and if necessary, treatment.  Details on registration available here.

Margate Springtime Egg Hunt, 9:00am: Stop by the Margate Sports Complex (be early) and participate in this annual egg hunt.  The city scatters almost 9,000 treat filled eggs and divides children by ages.  Visit their website for additional information on the fun children’s event.

March for our Lives, Parkland, 10:00:  Come to the City of Parkland’s Trails End Park and join in a March to promote safety for all of our children.  Details available here.

Florida Technical College Eggstravaganza, 10:00am – 2:00pm:  Visit the Pembroke Pines campus and celebrate Easter early!  Take a picture with the Easter Bunny, participate in an egg hunt, listen to music and so much more.  It promises to be fun for the whole family.  Their website provides additional details.

CrawDebaurchery Food and Music Festival, 11:00am:  Stop by Pompano Ampitheater Park and enjoy the tastes and sounds of New Orleans.  Their will be fabulous food and lots of music at this day long festival.  Visit their website for more information.

Dive-in Movie, 7:00pm: Come to Calypso Cove Waterpark in Margate and enjoy a showing of the movie CoCo.  Swim while you watch.  Information on admission fees is available here.  What a fun way to enjoy a movie with the whole family or friends.

Sunday, March 25th, 2018

UniverSoul Circus, 1:00:  This is the final performance of this one ring “circus” (additional showings over the course of the weekend).  Performers from around the world dazzle audiences with acrobatics, animal acts, dancers and more.   To to their website for ticket information.

Royal Egg Hunt, 10:00am – 1:00pm:  Dress as a prince or princess and bring your basket to this Royal themed egg hunt at the Sunrise Athletic Complex.   There will be amusements, face painting and more.  Visit their website for more information, including admission fees.

Jazz in the Pines Concert, 3:00pm – 5:00pm:  Stop by the Charles F. Dodge City Center and enjoy this free concert.  What a great way to wind down the weekend.  Details available here.

Mark Your Calendars (Future Events)

Disney on Ice March 28-April 2:  Come see your favorite Disney characters skate in an entertaining show.  The BB&T Center is hosting these family friendly performances.  Visit their website for show times and ticket information.

Teen and Adults Art Class, March 31st:  The Frank Art Gallery in Pembroke Pines is offering this art class for ages 13 and up.  Click here for details.  Please note, there is a fee to attend.

Easter Egg Hunt Kayak Adventure, March 31st:  How’s this for something different!  Blue Moon Outdoor Adventures is organizing the Kayak Egg Hunt.  Click here and learn how to participate!
