It’s that time again.   Below we have identified some exciting events happening in South Florida this weekend. Friday, April 6th, 2018

Tortuga Music Festival, April 6-8th:  This annual event on Fort Lauderdale Beach is a three day multi-state music festival.  There is also an area where you can learn about conservation.  Visit their website for ticket information.

First Friday Food Trucks, 5:00pm – 9:00pm:  The first Friday of the month is food truck evening at Flamingo Gardens.  Hang out in the parking lot, listen to music and enjoy some delicious food.  Details available here.

Saturday, April 7th, 2018

Certified 5K Run and 1 Mile Family Walk, 7:30am:  Wake up, get moving with your friends and neighbors and enjoy this event.  In addition to the run and walk there will be a wellness fair.  Appropriate for ages 5-80; there is something for everyone Saturday morning at Markham Park.  Click here for additional information.

FAU Football Practice @ Carter Park, 9:30am:  This event, to benefit the victims at Stoneman Douglas, includes facepainting, raffles and give aways.  Visit their website for location information and more details.

Family Fun and Camp Fair at the Ranch, 10:00am – 2:00pm:  Hosted by Marando Farms & Ranch, this family fun day includes plenty of children’s activities and the opportunity to learn about a number of local camps.  Visit their Facebook page for additional information.

Lets Go Biking!, 9:00am – 1:00pm:  Come by Vista View Park in Davie where the Broward Metropolitan Organization will be hosting this fun bicycle event.  There will be a ride, helmet fittings and safety info, among other activities.  Details available here.

Earth Day Festival, 11:00am – 3:00pm: Join the City of Sunrise for its 10th Annual Earth Day Festival.  In additional to free admission, the first 1,500 visitors will receive a BPA-free water bottle and reusable tote.  Click here for more details on all of the activities.

Sip and Shop on Breakers Ave, 6:00-10:00pm:  Visit North Beach Village in Fort Lauderdale for an evening of food, drinks and shopping.  More details are available here.

Florida Panthers v. Buffalo Sabres, 7:00pm:  Head over the the BB&T Center for this exciting NHL game.  Tickets and information available here.

Sunday, April 8th, 2018

Festival Marketplace Spring Car Show, 10:00am – 4:00pm: The Festival Marketplace is offering free admission to see over 600 cars!  Registration to show your car is $30 in advance.  Details here.

Stars on Ice, 4:00pm: The BB&T center is the host of this ice show featuring many your favorites from the Olympics.  Click here for additional details and ticket information.

Generations of Taste Cooking Competition, 5:00 – 7:00pm:  Have a fabulous recipe that you’d like to make and share, think about entering this fun contest.  There is a cost to taste, but none to enter at the Old Davie School Historical Museum.  Visit their website for additional information.

Delray Affair, April 13-15th:  One of South Florida’s largest arts & crafts festivals, the event includes entertainment, food, arcade games and over 800 vendors.  Visit their website for information.

Waitress, April 11th – 22nd:  The amazing Broadway musical will be showing at the Broward Center.  Click here for details and tickets!
