Located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Dillard High School is part of the Broward County Public School System and serves approximately 2,300 students from Fort Lauderdale and across the county (through it’s magnet programs).
Schedules
Named by U.S. News & World Report as a “Best School’s Bronze Award” recipient, the school operates on traditional semester schedule with seven periods daily, each lasting approximately 50 minutes.
Academic Programs
In addition to its traditional education program (which offers regular, honors and 16 AP classes) the school is home to three magnet programs: Emerging Computer Technology, Digital Entrepreneurship and the Visual and Performing Arts.
After School Activities
After school activities are equally as diverse and well-respected. The students, whose mascot is the Panther, participate in more than 30 clubsclubs and membership organization on campus, including very active academic honor societies. Finally, the school fields teams in more than 11 sports at the varsity and junior varsity levels, many of which have experienced significant success.
Feeder Schools
Portions of the student bodies of William Dandy Middle, Dillard 6-12 Middle and Lauderhill 6-12 Middle, Parkway Middle, and Sunrise Middle school feed into Deerfield Beach High. The schools work closely together to ensure a smooth transition including academics and activities. Additionally, students throughout the county apply to and participate in the programs.
